A Thanksgiving Message . . .

Posted on November 27, 2019 at 11:18 AM by Sharon Hoggard

Happy Thanksgiving! As we pause to break bread with our family and friends for Thanksgiving, we’d like to thank you . . . our residents, citizens, businesses, volunteers, partners and others for all of your hard work throughout the year. We’ve truly enjoyed serving you, and thank you for your ideas, feedback and spirit of community! We’re thankful for all of you and for being a part of our journey this year. On this Thanksgiving, we want to share our genuine appreciation for you all. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you!

Billy Graham wrote an article titled Being Thankful in All Things back in 2017. We’re sharing an excerpt here.

Think of it: Always giving thanks for everything—no matter the circumstances! We must not allow a spirit of ingratitude to harden our heart and chill our relationship with God and with others. Nothing turns us into bitter, selfish, dissatisfied people more quickly than an ungrateful heart. And nothing will do more to restore contentment and joy than a true spirit of thankfulness.

Today, ingratitude and thanklessness are far too common. Children forget to thank their parents for all that they do. Common courtesy is scorned. We take for granted the ways that others help us. An ungrateful heart is a heart that is cold; it is a heart that has forgotten how dependent we are on God for everything.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. Be grateful for what you are and what you have. Here’s to another year of giving thanks for all of the wonderful blessings our team has experienced.

Our heartfelt wishes for a joyful and a cheerful Thanksgiving! Your incredible support and teamwork will forever be treasured. Wishing you hope, joy, peace, good health, favor, and love on this Thanksgiving Day!
