The Community Advisory Board (CAB) to the Eastern Virginia Medical School, encourages you to participate in a brief survey about EVMS and healthcare in our community. The purpose of the survey is to understand the community’s experiences, attitudes and perceptions about diversity, equity, and inclusion practices by EVMS. By participating in this survey, citizens and residents of Hampton Roads have a unique opportunity to shape the trajectory of this nationally-recognized medical school for years to come.
The survey is a part of a comprehensive cultural assessment of EVMS that is being conducted by the CAB. Dr. Richard Homan, EVMS president and provost, created the CAB to provide an external, independent review of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the medical school. Our board is led by Gil Bland, CEO of the Urban League of Hampton Roads, and is comprised of leaders from higher education, business, and community organizations.
The CAB engaged a third-party firm, SIR (formerly known as the Southeastern Institute for Research), to develop the survey and gather this feedback. Your honest opinions are important to us, so we hope you will participate in this important initiative by clicking this link to take the survey or you can find the survey here at www.evms-CAB.com.
The survey is anonymous. Your name will not be associated with your responses. The survey should take you approximately 15 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions about this initiative, please contact the CAB chair, Gil Bland at [email protected].
