Voter Identification Requirement

Virginia Code § 24.2-643

All voters must show identification or must complete a form provided by the election officer in order to vote.

The identification may be one of the following:

• A Virginia voter registration card
• A social security card
• A valid Virginia driver’s license
• An identification card issued by a local, state, or federal governmental agency
• An identification card with a photograph of the voter issued by his employer

If you do not have identification, you may still vote. Simply fill out an affirmation form.

Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
