Mosquito Activity (Scale from 0 to 5)
  • Tiger mosquitoes are the only significant mosquito problem in the city right now. Overall mosquito activity is a 2 citywide.
Surveillance
  • No rainfall was recorded last week.
  • Fewer traps were set this week due to the holiday.
  • 5 CDC style traps were set this week, with a total of 108 mosquitoes caught for an average of 21.6 per trap. Trap counts decreased from the high numbers of last week. CDC trap counts should remain low with out more rain.
  • 9 Omni-Directional Fay-Prince (OFP) were set this week, with a total of 490 tiger mosquitoes for an average of 54 per trap. Tiger mosquitoes climbed slightly higher this week.

Service Requests
  • We had 4 service requests this week; all calls this week were from tiger mosquitoes.
