| Mosquito Activity (Scale from 0 to 5) |
- The city remains extremely hot and dry. We received only 0.04
inches of rain last week. Mosquito breeding sites are decreasing as
a result of the dry, hot weather.
- Mosquito activity remains a 2 for most of the city.

| Surveillance |
- 10 CDC style light traps were set this week, a total of 848
mosquitoes were caught, for an average of 85 per trap. Trap counts
were up slightly from last week.
- 7 Gravid style traps were set this week, a total of 97
mosquitoes were caught, for an average of 14 per trap. Gravid trap
counts are down from last week.
- Hot dry conditions will further reduce the number of adult
mosquitoes around.
- No mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus
this year.
