The Sex Offender Registry Unit has been closed due to budgetary reasons.
This process has been assumed by the Portsmouoth Police Department. If you are a convicted sex offender and need to register, please contact the Portsmouth Police Department.
Convicted sex offender's all across the United States must register, re-register at regular intervals, and must keep in contact with law enforcement concerning their whereabouts, vehicle ownership, employment, internet use, and other important data. Most of this information is posted on the internet.
