SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS
A School Resource officer is responsible for the following:
-
Runaways (locating missing
juveniles)
-
Simple Assaults (involving
juveniles)
-
All school related offenses
Additional responsibilities:
1. School Resource Officer is tasked with any order maintenance issues involving
their assigned school or schools. They handle any other day-to-day tasks
assigned by the school administration and their unit supervisor that does not
interfere with their school assignments.
2. Assist other jurisdictions with investigations where information or evidence
may be obtained in the city that will help their investigation.
3. Assist other investigators with cases where the suspects or victims are
enrolled or work in the schools.
