Both of these images are of "High Street Landing," the gateway to Olde Towne Portsmouth from the Elizabeth River. It is at High Street Landing where the Elizabeth River Ferry makes its first stop in Portsmouth from Norfolk's Waterside. High Street Landing is located at the foot of High Street, the main street through the entire city of Portsmouth. From High Street Landing, it's a short walk to the numerous cafes, gift and specialty shops, restaurants, and antique stores along High Street and its side streets.
