Destination Portsmouth is a process implemented by the Planning Department in 2007.  This process is designed to gain public and leadership input at all stages of the development of plans and regulations process.  This process has been successfully used during the Downtown Design District Update, Downtown Master Plan and Waterfront Strategy, Form-Based Codes, Master Transportation Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Flood Plan Management Plan 2010.  The process has made the transition to other city departments and currently is in use in the development of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.
