Craney Island Study Commission

Meeting Schedule: This Commission meets as necessary throughout the calendar year. Please call the Planning Staff contact for meeting location and time.

Mission Statement: This Commission will review and make an assessment of any proposals to change the operation or development of the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area (CIDMMA) and then advise the City Council whether the proposal has an impact on the many interests of Portsmouth’s waterfront community of River Shore Road and Suffolk’s Respass Beach area. This is a Bi-City Commission composed of citizens from Portsmouth and Suffolk.
