City Wide Youth Basketball Tournament
This tournament brings together the best youth basketball talent
throughout the city for a five-day tournament to crown the overall
champion.
Days: March 9-13 2009
Times: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Ages: 9-15 (Boys & Girls)

Adult Softball League Registration will begin on
February 23rd and end on March 27, 2009. Team meeting will be held on
March 19th at 7:00pm on the 3rd Floor at City Hall. Play will begin
April 14th at various fields across the city. Entry fee is $400 per
team. Open to adult men, women, church, and co-ed teams.

Optima Fall Girls Basketball League
Each year we have a Girl's team that participates in the Girls Fall
Basketball program sponsored by the Optima Family Service. The league
consist of Girls ages 12-14. They receive information before every game
on health, family, and safety issues. The cities that are involved are
Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, VA Beach, Newport News, and
Portsmouth. This year's game will be held at J.E. Parker Recreation
Center 2340 Turnpike Road. Come by and see some exciting basketball
talent. If you are interested in trying out for the team, tryouts are
