COMMUNITY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 16

PORTSMOUTH -- The Portsmouth City Council has scheduled three Community Meetings a year for several years to give citizens an opportunity to have a dialogue with the Council and bring community concerns to Council's attention. The first of these for 2007 is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, at Churchland Elementary School at 5601 Michael Lane beginning at 7 p.m.

The City Ombudsman will also be present at the meeting to receive any individual concerns that citizens may have.

The other Community Meetings scheduled this year are on Tuesday, May 15, at Cradock Middle School and Tuesday, September 18, at I. C. Norcom High School. Those meetings also will begin at 7 p.m. Any citizen is welcome to attend any or all of these meetings.
