We’re just three weeks from the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, and commitments have been received from the following players…
WHO: Kammeron Taylor of Wisconsin, Loren Stokes of Hofstra and Valdas Vasylius of Old Dominion University. Announced last week were Reyshawn Terry of North Carolina, Derek Raivio of Gonzaga, and Zabian Dowdell of Virginia Tech.
WHAT: The 55th Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, the nation’s oldest amateur basketball tournament, recognized by NBA and European scouts as the premier showcase for hot prospects.
WHEN: April 4-7, 2007.
ADMISSION: $8 per night or $25 for all 12 games of the tournament.
Tickets available through all Ticketmaster outlets and through the Willett Hall box office. (NOTE: The 3:15 p.m. Thursday and Friday afternoon consolation games and Saturday’s noon and 2 p.m. games are FREE!)
WHERE: All games held in the gymnasium of Churchland High School, 4301 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth.
