Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs technical work in the processing of property transfers and creation of new tax parcels for the City Assessor’s Office. Work involves researching public records, including deeds, wills, surveys, plats, etc. Work also involves providing information and assisting the public with research inquiries regarding tax parcels and real property land records.
Education/Experience:
Graduation from a two-year college or technical school with coursework in paralegal studies, title examination, drafting, surveying, or a related field, and 3 to 5 years of experience in real property transfers or paralegal services, including two years of computer or data entry experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Special Req: Must possess a valid Driver's License issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Salary:
$ 34,631-$45,886
