Station 4 is located in Port Norfolk and is one of two
new stations constructed by the city in 2001. The station was designed and
built to provide administrative office space for the Fire Marshall's
office and the Emergency Medical Service's administrative office. The
station was also designed and built to serve as an
Emergency Operations
Center (EOC) for use during large scale incidents such as Hurricanes. With
very little notice, the station can be converted to an
EOC with no
disruption of fire and EMS services to the citizens.
Also responding from Station 4 are Engine 4 and the EMS Field Supervisor.
Additionally, station 4 is also the base of operations for the Technical
Rescue Team.
