The City of Portsmouth believes in quality and accessible service to our citizens through our many programs. That means understanding what you need and require from us.

In an effort to expedite your concern, please provide the following information:
- Report the correct address of the concern.
- State the concern clearly and give specific details.
- Provide either an email address or daytime phone number so that we may contact you if there are further questions about the concern.
Citizen Concern Line - 757-393-8008 – The City maintains a 24-hour citizen concern hotline for all of your non-emergency questions or concerns. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
Citizens are reminded to phone 911 in the case of an immediate emergency requiring the response of a police, fire, or ambulance.
