Victory Village...The right place, the right time.

Victory Village is a reinvented 500-acre mixed-use development centrally located within Portsmouth and the Hampton Roads region at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and I-264.  When complete, the project is expected to generate over $800 million in private investment and create over 2,500 jobs.  Victory Village is an Enterprise Zone, Empowerment Zone and HUBZone and recently qualified to receive Federal New Markets Tax Credits.

Bide-A-Wee Golf Course
This 18-hole public championship golf course underwent an $8 million renovation in 1998 with design assistance from Curtis Strange. In 2002, Bide-A-Wee was named the “Most Improved Course” in the nation by Golf Digest. The course hosts over 40,000 rounds of golf annually.

Victory Crossing Shopping Center
This retail center, on the 51-acre former Tower Mall site, was a public-private partnership and the first major shopping center to be developed in Portsmouth in nearly 20 years.  The center opened in mid to late 2002 and is anchored by Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse and Farm Fresh.  The sales in 2005 totaled over $93 million, a 33 percent increase over 2003, the center's first full year of operation.

Victory Village
This mixed-use park is Portsmouth’s largest developable tract of land and the second planned business park in the city. The 135-acre park will host Class A and B office buildings, retail and Tidewater Community College’s Portsmouth Campus, a state-of-the-art center of higher education for the 21st Century.  TCC is expected to open in 2008 with a projected enrollment of 16,500 students at full build out.  Master developer, Victory Crossing Developers LLC, is responsible for designing, constructing and arranging financing for the development of the park.  Infrastructure improvements are underway.  VDOT’s road improvements to Victory Boulevard began in late spring 2006 and should be complete in summer 2007.

New Port at Victory Village Residential Development
Construction is underway by L.M. Sandler & Sons on a 1,628 home community to be called New Port at Victory Village.  Homes in the first phase are nearly sold out and sales range from $263,000 to $365,000. Instilling the standards of a traditional neighborhood design, New Port will offer nine different housing styles from single-family homes to stylish townhomes and condos. Plans are underway for phase two.  Complete build out on the 208-acre site is expected within 5-7 years.
