Marketing Vision

Present a bold new vision of the City as vibrant and prosperous to citizens, neighbors and visitors by strategically marketing Portsmouth and its unique and diverse attractions, events, and opportunities so that it stands out within the mid-Atlantic regions an attractive and desirable destination to repeatedly visit, live or do business.

To consistently brand and aggressively promote the City of Portsmouth and our many marketable products, focusing on our history, our waterfront, and our exciting vision of bold new directions for the future.

• Develop a branding strategy that shapes for the City of Portsmouth; utilizing research, creative concepts and media tools.
• Strategically market Portsmouth and its unique attractions, events and opportunities.
• Consistently brand and aggressively promote the City and its marketable products.
• Build a “one voice” marketing team.
• Establish a methodology for prioritizing and allocating marketing funds.
